The Perks of Being a Wallflower

First of all, if anyone hasn't read this book, I suggest they make a bookstore run right now.
This book is definitely one of the best books I have ever read and it definitely makes you think about some things. Alas, I am not here to write a book review.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a book about growing up. And since I am in that stage of my life, I can tell you that it captures adolescence perfectly.  But what exactly does adolescence entail? It is the stage of life where you doubt everything; you are completely unsure of yourself as a person. You have no idea of how to distinguish the line between right and wrong, individuality and going with the group, and your overall sense of self versus the person you think everyone else wants you to be. And to add to all of that, you have to deal with many other changes in your life, one example being puberty (so much fun-you should try it some time).
I'm nowhere near complaining. At this point in time I'm having lots of fun every day, and I definitely don't want to be an adult yet. Coming of age is just something that happens, I guess. But don't listen to me, listen to Charlie.
"... And in that moment, I swear we were infinite."
I promise that you will never find a better description of growing up anywhere else in your entire life.

Incidentally, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is being made into a movie. It just happens to feature one of my favorite actresses, Emma Watson.
